Avantika Rao is a Sacramento-based attorney.  She speaks English, Spanish, and Hindi.  Through her advocacy, Ms. Rao has been able to bring peace through justice for hundreds of clients suffering rights violations.

The attorney has successfully handled housing, employment, and immigration cases.  She has worked with clients from Haiti, Cuba, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru, Taiwan, China, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, Jordan, Sudan, Somalia, Liberia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ghana, and other nations.  

In 2011, Avantika Rao was honored with a Jack W. Londen Award by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the Bay Area for her litigation on behalf of marginalized communities.  In 2010, she was invited by the U.S. Department of Justice to present a human trafficking training in Washington, D.C.
